Welcome to Stephen Hermitage Photography. I specialise in a variety of fine art photography styles and the 6 images above represent a very small selection of my portfolio.  

 

Originally I trained as an organic chemist gaining a PhD in 1998. With a science based background I really enjoy working out how things work from first principles and have applied this approach to develop my photography over the years. I'm interested in studio work, unusual lighting set ups, problem solving and 'how to be creative'.

 

The internet is a great source of inspiration and my little bit of 'giving back' can be found on my You tube channel where you can watch some of my 'behind the scenes' videos and photography training.
